Hoar Cross Hall, Luxury Spa Retreat

⊂  If you enjoy a spa experience, this one is for you  ⊃

Hoar Cross Hall

I was lucky enough to spend some quality time with my friend at this fabulous stately home last weekend.   As soon as you approach the house, your hopes of a relaxing retreat start to become a reality. The greenery surrounded driveway leading up to the house, the majestic grounds with water features and the sheer beauty of the house itself – all make such elegant first impressions. The interior is just as mind blowing. The furniture couldn’t have been suitably chosen, from the impressive paintings to the grand piano – every room has its own original touch. The bedrooms are equally fabulous. The rooms are elegantly furnished and they come equipped with a lounge and jacuzzi. I shouldn’t spoil it too much, I’ll let the photos do the talking.

The spa experience was quite amazing. With the range of options available including massage jets, steam rooms and wood sauna – you’ll be spoilt for choice. You can see all the different facilities on this brochure.  In addition, you can also book some private treatments. I had a Clarins full body massage which was just fantastic! Besides indoor spa facilities, they also have outdoors activities. You can ride around the magnificent grounds, play tennis, archery et cetera.

As we stayed overnight, we also dined at the hotel. I am not certain if living in France has clouded my judgement about dining experiences. In France, dining out is a sensuous affair. You are lured from the word go. Your eyes are drawn to the beautiful presentation, your nose is aroused by the smell of fresh ingredients meanwhile, in the mouth, your tastebuds are exploding! The food was good but for me it was not a highlight about this lovely resort.

The service in general was very good. Expect nothing less than British politeness. The staff were quite attentive and some went a long way to please.

Other than spa facilities, they also cater for weddings, hen parties and other coorporate events. So, I hope you will enjoy your future visit to this retreat. Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.

I personally enjoy such retreats. I think that it’s important to make time for yourself and do something that makes your soul happy.

What about you? Are you a spa lover? If you happen to visit, hope you enjoy your stay.

  1. Loved your post. So jealous of your experience 🙂
As an American now, I regret not having enough time off to vacation and reset. Stress always takes over no matter how much yoga you do and a little vacation is always the answer as it kind of reminds you how short life is and how everything can go on without you. So, you should not feel guilty about pampering and taking care of yourself. I’ll have to visit this place 🙂

    Thank you for sharing.

    1. Hello Isabel,
I couldn’t agree with you more. We def need to destress and recharge our batteries. Too bad vacation days are limited in the States. In France some people get 5 weeks! But I hope you manage to get some time to unwind- très important! 🙂
Such a great blog you have. Can’t wait to dig deeper when I’m on holiday!
